Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance.

"Of course, the laws of science contain no matter and have no energy either and therefore do not exist except in people's minds. It's best to be completely scientific about the whole thing and refuse to believe in either ghosts or the laws of science. That way you're safe. That doesn't leave you very much to believe in, but that's scientific too."

"If a revolution destroys a systematic government, but the systematic
patterns of thought that produced that government are left intact,
then those patterns will repeat themselves in the succeeding
government. (There's so much talk about the system. And so little
understanding.)"

"The real purpose of scientific method is to make sure Nature hasn’t
misled you into thinking you know something you don’t actually
know"

"Like those in the valley behind us, most people stand in sight of the spiritual mountains all their lives and never enter them, being content to listen to others who have been there and thus avoid the hardships."

Currently I am only up to page 150 of 406 however I know I am in the right mindspace to read this book now. I am able to learn and benefit from reading the novel. Previously each line merely passed through one ear and out the other. However when used wisely time has the ability to broaden the mind and its ability to comprehend concepts, ideas and philosophies, it once struggled to grasp. Now it seems to fit together like pieces of a puzzle and the knowledge and wisdom I am taking from this outstanding novel finds permanent residence in my mind.
